Las Vegas Raiders Sign Veteran Quarterback

It’s been a busy week for the Raiders, and they’re not making moves just yet. Moments ago, it was announced that veteran quarterback Garrett Gilbert has signed a deal with Las Vegas.

Gilbert has bounced around the NFL over the past few years, but he does have some experience as a starter. Over the past two seasons, he has 433 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception.

The Raiders’ interest in Gilbert isn’t much of a surprise considering he spent most of the 2021 season on the Patriots’ practice squad.

With Josh McDaniels at the helm in Las Vegas, the Raiders have decided to add a quarterback who already knows the head coach’s system.

The Gilbert signing won’t exactly turn heads, but the Raiders have made enough blockbuster moves this week.

Not only did the Raiders sign Chandler Jones to a lucrative contract, they acquired Davante Adams in a trade with the Packers.

After making the playoffs in 2021, the Raiders are hoping to take that next step towards becoming a true Super Bowl contender.
